35/1s Joint Champions after exciting draw in Grand Final
Updated by Bob Browne, 2010-08-30 10:17

O35/1s drew nil all with All Saints Hunters Hill on Sunday, 29th August 2010 at Christie Park. Penno dominated the game throughout and were unlucky not to convert for a win. With no goal after extra time they were declared joint champions.

Penno was supported by a large contingent of supporters in the Green and Gold. Even Premier League's Kurt Morrison was heard in the background cheering on his former team mates.

Congratulations and well done to Coach/Manager/Mentor, Jimmy Malins and the 35/1s.

CONGRATULATIONS PENNO UNDER 9 /2s - FAIR PLAY.
Updated by Administrator, 2010-08-18 13:43

On Saturday August 7, Saints United 9/2s, had a mix up with their Round Robin draw, and missed their match.

GHFA asked Penno the question, as to whether they would double up on Saturday August 14, and play their scheduled Round Robin match, as well as giving Saints United a chance to play the one they missed.

As, in true Penno spirit, the coach, manager, parents and players agreed to this request.

This was looked on favourably by GHFA, and complimented accordingly.

As Club President of Penno FC, I would like to pass on my congratulations and that of the committee for this wonderful display of sportsmanship by all those associated with the Penno Under 9 division 2 team.

It is such actions that are reflective of the wonderful attitude of the sporting community at Penno FC.

Well done and thank you.

Peter Quessy

President - Penno FC
